RWE Npower (now called RWE Innogy) have confirmed “it will not progress in developing the proposed Nun Wood Wind Farm…”  (link to full statement here).

This now brings to a close our 8 year campaign to fight this development and have the views and wishes of the local planning authorities and communities finally listened to.

They have also dismantled and removed the 80m anemometer mast several months before the planning permission expires (at Bozeat Grange - planning permission was valid until July 2015 ). We can only assume that there is very little chance of any other windfarm being approved in this area.

We are in the process of winding up “BLOT” as per our constitutional terms and conditions, with any surplus funds going to the local communities.

We really hope this is the end, but the website and your ability to contact us will remain for a while yet.

The Committee would like to thank everyone that has supported us over the years and we wish you all the peace and tranquility that you’ve fought so hard to protect.
